Tuesday morning, Sept 3rd, the LA West Valve was closed at approx 9:00 AM. The lake will now begin to refill.
An emergency temporary wood frame cap was installed on the kettle top because part of kettle top gave way during the opening of the valve.
The next LAMSBD Board Meeting is 6:30 PM, Lake Asbury Community Center on Monday, September 9th.
The Agenda includes a presentation of the underwater video survey of the infrastructure of all three dams. UMX (Underwater Mechanix), the contractor that completed the survey will be in attendance. The Board will review and discuss the infrastructure issues and plans for the future.
