We have met with engineers from Hanson, an engineer with SJRWMD, and Clay County Emergency Management.
The damaged areas on the dam spillway will be repaired in kind.
We met a contractor who was recommended by the manufacturer of the block used in the spillway on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He toured the spillway and looked at the damage. He will provide more information to us on the scope and timing of the repairs next week.
These repairs are estimated to take approximately 8-9 weeks. The South Lake will remain lowered by about 12 inches until the repairs are done and no boating or jet skiing will be allowed until further notice.
The monthly meeting for LAMSBD is Monday, June 5 at 6:30 in the Community Center and more details will be available.
